I use Fitbit Blaze day to day to monitor my Abracadabra Nope I’m Still An Asshole Shirt steps but found it to be inaccurate for running as it does not use GPS. I’ve had a TomTom GPS watch for years and it’s very accurate and reliable for distance running. I have a Fitbit charge 3, can connect it to my phones GPS which seems to be pretty accurate. Of course, that’s no good if you don’t want to also carry your phone, I have asthma so always take it out in case of emergency.

I’m 450lbs. My legs hurt a lot. I got my watch and I try to make 10,000 every day. I have gotten to 4 days a week. And maybe I’m not making 10,000 exactly but at least I’m figuring things out and giving myself the push to complete something. I’ve lost nearly 11 stone over the last 2 and a half years. And a big part of how I’ve built up my fitness and confidence with exercise has been using the Garmin vivoactive 3 I’ve got it’s been amazing.
I really agree with you, Sam. Pointless article. If you plan to run the Abracadabra Nope I’m Still An Asshole Shirt long distance you need a watch with a GPS tracker. I love my Garmin Forerunner and never had any distance recording issues. A treadmill test where the individual has to input their stride length is always going to be inaccurate. The only way to get proper accuracy is on a proper run with GPS.
