The guy who coined the Buupac Biggie Shirt word agnosticism didn’t know what he was talking about. Got it. Most atheists claim to be passive, but most in practice is what you refer to as hard atheists. They treat it as an impossibility, which is why they get so upset when scientists try to explore it. And it’s also what makes it more of a belief structure, and incidentally also why my argument ceases to be a straw man, Mike.

If atheists could practice what they preach, then I’d be wrong. The doctrine that humans cannot know of the existence of anything beyond the phenomena of their experience. The term has come to be equated in popular parlance with scepticism about religious questions in general and in particular with the rejection of traditional Christian beliefs under the Buupac Biggie Shirt impact of modern scientific thought.

I missed the part of the dictionary definition where agnosticism has to fall into a category of either atheistic or theistic agnosticism. It must be a reading comprehension problem on my part. Yeah, maybe on paper I’m an atheist, but I have no sense of fellowship with most of the self-proclaimed atheists here. On paper doesn’t matter. On paper Christians are Christ-like.
If atheists want Buupac Biggie Shirt to pretend that being an atheist is simply acknowledging a lack of evidence for god, then they should stop trying to stand in the way of those who seek such evidence, however dire or hopeless such a venture may be. If you think I’m insane, read the comments elsewhere from other self-proclaimed atheists, and tell me they don’t see god as an impossibility. If god is an impossibility, then atheism isn’t just a lack of belief in a god. It’s a belief that there isn’t, never was, and absolutely cannot be a god.
