I’m feeling pretty good about what the next 10 weeks will bring. It feels great to be out hiking again, especially in such a beautiful place. Though the winds were strong and rains were unpredictable, it was a better start than I expected. I’m looking forward to spending some time in the Earth Day 2019 Missing Shirt forests and hills. I do not have a working phone plan yet, so the best way to contact me is messaging me here.

Two flights, a bus ride, and seven hitchhiking rides later and I am only 50 km and one hitch away from the Earth Day 2019 Missing Shirt start of New Zealand’s tear area. I already love this country and the people who call it home.

Mama was pretty small, there’s a good chance I could have taken her. These are photos from the Earth Day 2019 Missing Shirt second half of the Arizona Trail. During the 41 days of this 800+ mile journey, I lived and began to think in the same transformational manner that led me to such happiness on the Pacific Crest Trail. To me, long-distance hiking is the perfect balance of going with the flow and creating my own current.
