Could you ride a bike forty miles on a round trip day in day out come rain or shine? It’s too difficult to protest outside Chinese and Far Eastern embassies or in those actual country’s who are responsible for the issue, so inconvenience people who don’t push back- ie the British public. I’m concerned about the planet as well. But it’s an economical issue and activists dont act as though they understand that. Maybe one day an activist will present an economically sustainable model that reduces carbon emissions from the Shitty Watercolour Shirt biggest polluters, without destroying those same companies which are the ones that generate enough taxable revenue to fund the NHS and free Education for example.
