Just because we can’t understand this ourselves doesn’t mean we should invalidate another human’s experience. These people are people with feelings who want to exist without people calling them freaks. I don’t think that’s too much to ask. I have a question and I am honestly curious but how would you then classify someone with body dysmorphia if it’s not a disorder?
I am talking about trans people who are very disturbed that their bodies don’t match their Skull Cactus Not A Hugger Shirt gender identity? Personally, I think we as a society place too much attention on gender or sex. Labelling things like pink is for girls and blue is for boys is part of the problem. Maybe people would be fine with their normal if we as a society didn’t label things as masculine or feminine.
